The Recovery Process

The recovery from MUA-FRP is vitally important and is generally what makes it such an effective treatment, and begins immediately after the procedure. The patient will visit the chiropractic’s office and undergo electro-therapy, cryotherapy and several stretching exercises to assist with the soreness. It is important that in the following days, the patient sticks to a strict regime of stretches and exercises combined with manipulations and mobilizations performed in the office of a doctor.

If you were referred to Dr. Dhesi by another doctor, your doctor will need to contact him to get the information of what procedures need to take place in the recovery program.

The recovery process also involves a strengthening program, and visiting the physician or physical therapist at least twelve times is recommended – thrice a week for a period of two weeks, twice a week for two weeks and once a week for two weeks. After this time, most patients report a positive outcome and have gained stability.
